The primary purpose of this position is to execute Pacific Air Forces Command Surgeon Bioenvironmental Engineering (PACAF/SGPB) mission to support ACE CONOPS projects, tasks, and/or requirements, to include Occupational and Environmental Health (OEH) programs.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The primary purpose of this position is to execute Pacific Air Forces Command Surgeon Bioenvironmental Engineering (PACAF/SGPB) mission to support ACE CONOPS projects, tasks, and/or requirements, to include Occupational and Environmental Health (OEH) programs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Anticipate/recognize daily business operations for potential hazards.
- Evaluate occupational and environmental health (OEH) hazards, also called OEH threats.
- Designs and recommends risk control measures and other courses of action that enable Risk Management decisions, and in some cases Patient Care strategies, to ensure Force Health Protection.
- Constituents/principles and experience related to Industrial Hygiene, General Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Health Physics, Physics.
- Serve as an expert in environmental health and safety.
- Review and understand environmental law, and DoD/AF policy.
- Plan, prepare and coordinate tasks and evaluation platforms (exercises) of developed products (i.e., TTPs, policies, etc.).
- Recommend policy changes to better protect employees, the operations, and the environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
- Must possess a Secret clearance in good standing.
- US citizenship
- S. degree or higher from an engineering or industrial hygiene degree program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); or a BS or MS degree in chemistry or physics; with a current and valid certification (i.e., Certified Industrial Hygienist or CIH, Associate Safety Professional or ASP) or Professional Engineering (P.E.) License
- Minimum of 4 years' public EHS sector experience required, or 2 years' military EHS sector experience required.
- English proficiency, spoken and written; the ability to operate routine, office equipment; the skills to effectively use Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, electronic databases, web-based applications, and other relevant computer programs; possess strong, customer-service, and interpersonal skills.
