Job Description
AECOM's Seattle office is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Field Technician in Seattle, WA. We seek a technically proficient individual that has strong field capabilities, including mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and can convey and document activities and observations in a clear, concise manner. Excellent communication, organization and prioritization skills will be necessary to work in our collaborative team-oriented offices; strong interpersonal skills are a must.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate with task and project managers, with on-site subcontractors and field staff to support environmental sampling, data collection, and field documentation
Operate field instrumentation to perform sampling of soil, sediment, vapor, surface water, and groundwater
Collect soil, water, and vapor samples using approved sampling plans and industry accepted methods. Document work with detailed field notes
Ability to maintain sample chain of custody and ship samples, as required
Collect and tabulate scientific data
Complete daily field reports documenting sampling, monitoring, O&M, and construction management activities
Perform operation and maintenance (O&M) and troubleshooting of environmental remediation systems
Perform construction oversight
Oversee safety and work of subcontractors
Perform Site Safety Officer duties
Perform other duties as assigned
