About the Job
We are currently seeking an entry-level scientist for our Permitting and Planning practice that will provide technical support and handle Office Manager administration duties (approximately 25% but will vary) in our San Francisco Bay Area offices. The position will support project managers working for multiple clients and on a wide variety of projects involving permitting and planning, environmental impact assessments, and environmental site assessments, site investigations, field oversight, natural resource evaluations, regulatory compliance management and health and ecological assessments. The day-to-day work will vary and may involve data management, literature review, field work, and writing. The position will include task management and other administrative support tasks, supporting senior staff. You'll learn from highly skilled and experienced members of our team to solve a range of complex problems as you grow your career. Career growth at Integral offers future opportunities to manage projects, communicate with clients, and present and/or publish your work through science conferences and peer-reviewed journals. Most assignments will require teamwork, though a few will be entirely your responsibility.

Qualifications
Candidates should hold an advanced degree in biology, chemistry, environmental science/studies, natural Resource Management/Planning, environmental health, or similar field.
The ideal candidate will have:
Annual Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
An employee's total compensation package includes annual salary, company-subsidized (employee and family) medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) participation with a company-match of 1% to 4% of annual compensation, company-paid life and short- and long-term disability, paid sick leave (80 hours per year), paid vacation (10 days per year), paid holidays (9 days per year), and the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance. Paid time off will be pro-rated to reflect part-time scheduled hours, if applicable.

- Perform research tasks to support projects, including data analysis
- Manage tasks and support senior staff in multiple offices in the Bay Area
- Assist with preparation of documents, reports, presentations, technical memoranda, public notices, forms, and other work products
Qualifications
Candidates should hold an advanced degree in biology, chemistry, environmental science/studies, natural Resource Management/Planning, environmental health, or similar field.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor's or master's degree
- 1 to 3 years of experience in permitting and planning, risk assessment, or environmental assessment
- Experience in risk assessment and/or biological assessments is a plus
- Experience working in on project teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A desire to grow both intellectually and professionally
- Possess strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers
