Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Counsel and EVP of Operations and Business Development, you will lead our global Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). Your strategic vision and expertise will be instrumental in shaping and implementing policies, programs, and initiatives that minimize operational risks and uphold our core values.
The role will be responsible for the improvement and management of policies, procedures, and programs to understand, manage and improve all aspects of health, safety, environment, and security, to minimize operational risk across the organization.
Strategic Leadership: Provide expert guidance in developing, implementing, and continuously enhancing EHS strategies, standards, and programs, fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Global Oversight: Manage the global EHS systems, ensuring robust programs are in place to mitigate risks and environmental impacts, including radiation safety.
Collaborative Leadership: Mentor and manage the Radiation Safety Officer based at our US manufacturing site, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor, evaluate, and recommend enhancements to the EHS system, staying at the forefront of best practices and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the General Counsel and senior leadership, providing insights to improve the EHS Management System and ensure alignment with our business objectives.
Empowerment through Education: Develop and oversee global EHS training tailored to meet specific country-based business needs, promoting awareness and competence.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and advocate for resources, equipment, processes, and procedural changes to effectively manage workplace hazards and reduce environmental impacts.
Innovation and Safer Alternatives: Lead the development and implementation of safer alternatives and efficient methods to manage workplace risks, championing innovation.
Consistent Compliance: Develop, oversee, and implement EHS audit programs, communication strategies, and tools to ensure adherence to EHS Standards globally.
Gap Analysis: Conduct assessments to identify compliance gaps, implementing corrective actions to ensure adherence to requirements.
Legal and Regulatory Adherence: Formulate a comprehensive strategy to comply with country-specific legislation and regulations, minimizing risk exposure.
Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong internal relationships, partnering with management and site EHS Coordinators to reinforce and promote EHS practices.
Coaching and Support: Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to EHS Coordinators and stakeholders involved in EHS implementation, fostering a collaborative environment.
Enhanced Onboarding: Elevate employee onboarding, education, and EHS training to ensure a well-informed workforce dedicated to safety and environmental consciousness.
Transparent Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly HSE reports, disseminating valuable insights to our EHS Network and senior leadership.
Operational Preparedness: Oversee EHS inspections, emergency evacuation drills, and incident management to swiftly respond to challenges and ensure safety.
Holistic Security Management: Take ownership of the physical security system using innovative cloud-based solutions, maintaining a secure environment across company locations.
Audit Readiness: Participate in security audits, proactively preparing sites and generating monthly security reports, upholding our commitment to vigilance.
Visitor Management: Manage electronic visitor logs at US facility sites, contributing to a seamless and secure visitor experience.
