Job Description
AECOM has a position available for a Climate Resilience Project Manager (Environmental Supervisor) in one of AECOM's coastal offices in Florida. This role will lead coastal science, engineering, and adaptation projects for local, state, and federal clients in Florida. Climate Resilience Environmental Supervisor will also support business development and team growth and will be based in one of our coastal offices in Florida.
The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Work with a team of engineers, scientists, GIS specialists, and sustainability planners in support of climate change adaptation and resilience assessments in coastal and estuarine environments
Conduct climate change studies and climate resiliency studies that involve sea level rise analysis, coastal erosion and shoreline change, vulnerability and risk assessments, and adaptation planning
Manage projects within time and budget targets
Assume responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments
Produce and review technical and other written reports as part of project deliverables
Contribute to innovative solutions to enhance coastal resilience ranging from traditional shoreline protection measures to nature-based adaptation strategies
Undertake the management of junior staff in the delivery of projects related to coastal, riverine, and stormwater related analyses and modeling
Conduct planning, engineering, design, and monitoring of coastal engineering, shoreline restoration, coastal zone management, and port and harbor studies and projects
Work with team leader, business development teams and others to develop and pursue business opportunities with a variety of existing and potential clients across Florida
Prepare and review work scopes and budgets for individual tasks and projects, for both external and internal clients, and deliver tasks on time and within budget;
Understand regulatory and policy developments relevant to the sector
