Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for an Entomologist to work in Easton, MD.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Plans own work and may supervise the day-to-day activities in a laboratory, greenhouse or aquatic setting under prescribed processes (protocols, standard operating procedures, methods, etc.).
Observes test organisms for signs of illness, disease, and/or injury or the effects of tested materials on aquatic and terrestrial invertebrates
Collects and evaluates biological data on the impact of test substances on non-target terrestrial and aquatic organisms.
Provides guidance to technical staff on the proper conduct of study assignments
Serves as subject matter expert in areas of expertise.
Completes highly complex work for research and development under GLP guidelines for studies, documentation, etc.
Performs data analysis, first level and peer review of data.
Reports observations and data to clients.
Works with independence on studies and assignments.
Typically serves as project leader/study director on assigned projects and may serve as technical leader within a group or team.
Serves as point of contact for internal and external customers.
Trains staff on techniques and advises on best practices to ensure consistent performance.
