Ph.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) in Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, or a directly related field and 4 years of research experience in the field of Chemical Biology and MS-based proteomics or chemoproteomics which may be gained during graduate studies.
Experience must include:
4 years of experience with each of the following:
1 year of experience with:
Activity based protein profiling, including the use of small molecule probes to identify protein targets.

Duties:
- Develop and utilize chemical biology methods for target identification, target engagement, and selectivity profiling studies to elucidate the mechanism of action of small molecule drug candidates.
- Conduct research dealing with the understanding of human diseases and the improvement of human health, engage in clinical investigation, and research and development, in the area of chemoproteomics.
- Design and apply chemical probes for cellular protein activity profiling.
- Conduct small molecule probe experiments in mammalian cell culture and tissue homogenate and analysis of these samples using a variety of protein detection methods including in gel fluorescence, Western blotting, and mass spectrometry.
- Publish results in chemical biology journals and present research at both internal and external meetings.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Ph.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) in Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, or a directly related field and 4 years of research experience in the field of Chemical Biology and MS-based proteomics or chemoproteomics which may be gained during graduate studies.
Experience must include:
4 years of experience with each of the following:
- Hands-on experience in proteomics sample preparation and operating modern LC/MS systems.
- Data analysis and interpretation.
- Working knowledge of protein biochemistry and familiarity with cell culture procedures, including siRNA knockout or stable and transient overexpression by lentiviral transduction and plasmid transfection.
- Techniques used in chemical biology, including click chemistry, affinity chromatography, immunoprecipitation, gel electrophoresis, and western blotting.
- Working knowledge of mass spectrometry based proteomics software, including Proteome Discoverer or MaxQuant.
- Liquid-liquid phase separation and imaging experience with confocal and brightfield microscopy, immunofluorescence, and quantification of puncta by software programs.
1 year of experience with:
Activity based protein profiling, including the use of small molecule probes to identify protein targets.
