Job Description
  • Serves as an action officer for assigned mission areas (or supports a senior action officer), focusing and identifying impacts, challenges, and solutions for CECOM and C5ISR equities.
  • Assists senior analysts in conducting and providing mission analysis, effects-based planning and assessment analysis and in the development of the concept of support briefings.
  • Supports senior analysts in leading Integrated Product Teams (IPT); assisting in consolidating findings and recommendations into minutes, EXSUMs, SITREPs, and into a final report.
  • Provides advice and assistance in matters related to assigned mission areas such as acquisition and sustainment documents.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Applying program evaluation and measurement techniques; 2) Assuring that actions, milestone decisions, and system transitions/transfers are in accordance with policies, laws, and regulations on the acquisition process; and 3) Preparing correspondence, reports, and graphs/charts to present findings or recommendations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
