Job Description

Join Takeda as a Research Principal Scientist where you will be a senior team member and contribute to strategic direction of multiple projects in the Cold-to-Hot group within the Oncology Drug Discovery Unit (ODDU). You will also be a project team leader responsible for providing key technical knowledge to a project team. As part of the Immuno-Oncology Drug Discovery team, you will report to a Senior Director in the ODDU.

How you will contribute:

Apply strong knowledge of Cancer Immunology and how to develop therapeutic intervention strategies.
As project lead, you will help establish new directions and help mobilize the team through crisp communication of strategic vision and program goals.
Play an active role in the evaluation of potential drug candidates for in-licensing or partnering.
Contribute to the preparation/editing/review of documents for regulatory submission (i.e., study reports, IB's, IND's)
Demonstrate collaborative well-developed knowledge of other departments and how they function together
Demonstrate either or both: exceptional project management skills or broad recognition for in-depth expertise in a scientific discipline
Design and direct research strategy and activities to meet program goals; provide leadership, timelines and contingency plans
Frequent contact with all personnel at several management levels
Collaborate with other departments, being a scientific authority within discipline
Be a senior company / project representative at external conferences, or business meetings
Determine methods on new assignments; make strategic recommendations on projects; greater demonstrated independence; may manage junior staff

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

PhD degree in a scientific discipline with 6+ years industry experience, or MS with 10+ years experience, or BS with 12+ years experience

Base Salary Range: $ 143,500-$205,00, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees may also be eligible for Short-term and Long-Term Incentive benefits as well. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off. The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
