Our world has changed. Risk is accelerating, and that is compounded by the fact that everything is deeply interconnected, everything from geopolitical and economic and social issues to technology, climate and regulation. In these volatile times, companies want to better understand and act on their risks but lack the risk infrastructure and analytical tools.

Our ‘Risk and Data Services' (RDS) Platform empowers companies to take control of their risks. It gives them access to pioneering data infrastructure and risk models from Swiss Re and third parties.

Companies build a digital twin of their physical assets on the RDS platform. The digital twin enables them to quantify risks and estimate losses due to different perils. For example, companies can assess how their factories and distribution centres be impacted by natural catastrophes and climate change over the next 15, 20, or 25 years. With these insights, companies can make critical decisions: Shall we open a manufacturing plant elsewhere that will be less prone to flooding?

With the digital twin in place, companies can then run "what-if" scenarios to understand how a risk event could potentially disrupt their business. Based on these insights, they can design a risk mitigation strategy and work with colleagues from other departments to implement it.

The RDS platform has generated considerable traction among large and mid-sized companies worldwide. We are now embarking on the next phase of growth!

About the role

We seek a new colleague to lead our revenue growth initiatives across existing products, new risk categories, and under-penetrated industry segments.

The responsibilities include:

• Increasing revenue: Identify and implement revenue growth opportunities, including developing value propositions that resonate with target customer segments, developing pricing strategies, and developing business cases that demonstrate the potential return on investment from using the platform.
• Nurturing emerging risk categories and industry segments: Understand the unique needs and difficulties of emerging segments and develop strategies to nurture their growth and adoption of the platform. This may involve creating tailored messaging and content, working with product teams to develop new product features or offerings that meet the segment's specific needs and optimising acquisition channels to reach the segment effectively.
• Analyzing data and performance: Analyze data and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of growth initiatives and identify areas for improvement. Work closely with the product and data teams to develop data-driven insights and make data-driven decisions.

Overall, you would play a critical role in empowering companies around the world to take control of their risks and driving growth and success for the RDS business.

About you

• Strategic thinking: Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement revenue growth strategies.
• Achieving revenue goals: Strong understanding of marketing and sales strategies in the B2B SaaS industry; track record of achieving revenue targets.
• Entrepreneurial attitude: Willingness to take calculated risks and try new approaches to pursue growth and success.
• Customer-centric mentality: Excellent in understanding customer needs and problems. Experience in any of the following preferred, but not mandatory: Risk types - climate change, supply chain, property; Industry segments - banking/PE, real estate, manufacturing, agriculture, energy/telecom/transportation infrastructure.
• Leadership and collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to generate results.
• Proficient in English

For New York the estimated base salary range for this position is $203,000 to $369,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
