Position Description:
Responsibilities R&D Scientist (Molecular Biologist) Role Summary: The R&D scientist will join a multi-disciplinary team developing automated platforms for DNA and RNA manipulation and analysis. In addition to the use of cutting-edge technologies, the team is developing new methods and hardware that require a high degree of innovation. While working with a dynamic and interactive team, the ability to independently design, execute, and interpret experiments with minimal supervision is required. This position requires iterative hands-on development and optimization of DNA and RNA manipulation protocols. Candidates will receive individualized mentorship and opportunities for scientific and professional growth.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field.
Extensive experience with molecular biology, molecular cloning, and protein analysis is absolutely required.
Proficiency in PCR and isothermal amplification, sequence analysis, and protein expression methods are required.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with real-time PCR, molecular biology methodology optimization.
Experience with transfection or transduction, gene delivery methods (viral and non-viral), and cell culturing is preferred.
The ideal candidate should have an appreciation of workflow automation.
Ability to identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
