About the Role

Are you a strong leader with a consistent record of mentoring, motivating and developing team members to success?

As the Operations Lead for Property Central and West your primary goal will be to develop and empower your team to ensure they fulfill their potential, achieve goals and provide effective support across multiple underwriting teams. Strong business judgment, client orientation, and a natural tendency to be curious are all important to your success.

Duties and responsibilities directly impact productivity, process efficiency, timeliness, profitability, and accuracy of the underwriting process. Position may require occasional travel.



Your key responsibilities:


  • Build positive relationships with both underwriting and operations leadership teams while ensuring high quality of work.
  • Lead team to deliver against timeliness, quality and efficiency metrics, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Recognize and acknowledge the skills of team members, help them to understand their growth areas and build on their strengths. Participate in the development of and delivery of training.
  • Lead and collaborate on the development/maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures, system and tool enhancements, and testing/piloting changes to improve processes.
  • Determine staffing requirements as well as interviewing and hiring of employees.
  • Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, seminars, and programs
  • Successful completion of assigned projects



About You


Educational background
  • University degree (4 year) or equivalent with a strong business component preferred.


Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial insurance principles and practices. Insurance Institute of America (IIA) or equivalent certifications desirable.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Excellent Excel Skills preferred.
