As a Safety and Environmental Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing operations comply with all OSHA, EPA, and EHS regulations. You will play a critical role in creating a safe and environmentally friendly workplace for our employees.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Conduct regular safety and environmental audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace.
• Develop and deliver safety and environmental training programs to employees at all levels of the organization.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine the root cause and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Manage the hazardous waste program, including the identification, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that new products and processes are designed with safety and environmental considerations in mind.
• Monitor and report on safety and environmental performance metrics to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on safety and environmental compliance.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and EHS regulations and guidelines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve safety and environmental objectives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification is a plus.
