Job Summary
This position is responsible for directing the operations, programming and services of an assigned residence hall. This position is designated by the institution as Essential Personnel and designated as Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Responsibilities
1 -

Hires, trains, assigns, directs, supervises, and evaluates the work of Resident Assistants (RAs) and front-desk staff, providing consistent staff meetings and appropriate guidance for staff.

Develops, coordinates and implements educational and social programming; provides programmatic and administrative support to residential learning communities. Works with students to develop and maintain an atmosphere conducive to study and community living.

Works collaboratively with the Facilities and Maintenance Operations Manager to resolve facilities issues. Reports, tracks and follows-up on facilities issues; advocates for facilities improvements.

Counsels, advises and provide referrals for residents in need of professional services.

Works as a steward of the Student Code of Conduct and Residence Life Handbook enforcing the rules and regulations of the college and of the Office of Residence Life and Housing. Directs hall-level student conduct efforts and serves as a judicial hearing officer; addresses the inappropriate behavior of students and determines fair and appropriate sanctions; makes conduct and counseling referrals as appropriate.

Facilitates residence hall operations, including student room assignments, in-hall transfers, weekly hall occupancy reports, and assistance with the annual reapplication process. Provides and shares on-call coverage.

Reviews and authorizes expenditures in compliance with budgetary guidelines

Manages summer conference group registration, check-in and check-out procedures, room assignments and inventories, and bill reconciliation; completes post-conference evaluations, rosters, damage reports and information reports.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required.

Other Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug testing.

Required Experience
- More than one year of related experience required.

-Two years of student affairs or higher education experience are preferred.
