Technical Sales Associate

Currently seeking a committed Technical Sales Associate candidate with a science background who has strong organization skills and a can-do attitude who enjoys participating in the overall success of a high energy and team oriented company. As a Technical Sales Associate with Smith-Root, you'll play a key role in contributing to Sales Department processes, technical support on scientific equipment, and the daily operations of our front office as a member of the sales team. Full time availability and punctuality are a must.

This position requires answering/direct incoming calls in a friendly fashion, receiving and responding to customer emails and inquiries, directing information to appropriate departments, greeting visitors, assisting with aquatic surveys, participating in company classes in aquatic environments, and performing a variety of data entry tasks. The ideal candidate is able to prioritize tasks, has strong computer skills, willingness to learn new sales software programs, excellent verbal and written communication skills, completes workflow with accuracy, and must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward. Technical knowledge, experience, and/or an educational background in the use of fisheries technology is favorable. Can substitute years of work and/or experience for an associate degree in sciences.

Emailing daily order tracking # to customer

Repair follow up with customers

Collecting and handling credit card payments

Maintaining existing spreadsheets and databases

The position pays $22 - $24 per hour DOE
