ERM is seeking a motivated Staff Consultant Geology/Environmental Science (Entry Level) who is interested in participating on a variety of projects and joining our consulting firm in the Boston, MA office. In this role, you will work closely with regional Project Managers on site investigation and remediation projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct field work, including sampling, drilling oversight, remedial pilot tests, construction oversight, and remedial system operation and maintenance.
  • Provide technical assistance on site investigation and remediation projects.
  • Compile and evaluate data and assist in report preparation.
  • Perform multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to effectively execute projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS or MS in geology, environmental science, environmental engineering, or related degree/experience.
  • Recent graduate to 2 years of relevant environmental experience or professional internships.
  • Detail-oriented with mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Up to 80% regional travel with multiple overnight stays; 20% office work
  • Ability to succeed in a consulting pace, handling multiple project assignments, and maintaining flexibility, while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
  • Strong hands-on spreadsheet and data comprehension. GIS/CAD skills a plus.
  • HAZWOPER training is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Local candidates preferred.
