Since 1984, the Foundation has donated more than $1.4 billion to philanthropic programs worldwide. In 2021 alone, the Foundation contributed almost $110 million to approximately 350 organizations globally. The Foundation's areas of giving include Sustainable Access to Safe Water, Circular Economy, Climate Resilience and Disaster Preparedness and Response, Economic Empowerment and the Employee Matching Gift Program. THE POSITION The Senior Director, Sustainable Access to Safe Water, will lead a global portfolio of grant making. The goal of the Foundation's Sustainable Access to Safe Water program is to advance solutions and innovations that provide and assure safely managed drinking water to those living in water stressed regions. Access to safe drinking water is essential to human survival. Along with corollary services of sanitation and hygiene, safe water underpins human and environmental health. In 2020, 2 billion people did not have access to safely managed drinking water, and 1.2 billion of those people lacked a basic level of service. Just as growing populations and urbanization are increasing the demand for water, climate change is further straining sustainable access to safe water creating challenges in urban, peri-urban, and rural communities across the world. This position offers a rare opportunity to work on high-impact programs across the world. The work will be fast paced, often ambiguous, and spread across multiple and diverse projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will need to blend flexibility and curiosity with disciplined execution. Key responsibilities and activities: Play a leadership role in a cross-team process to implement the Foundation's global strategy and programming. Shape and execute industry leading impactful philanthropic initiatives ensuring a focus on results and accountability. Keep abreast of policy, innovations, partnerships, trends, and research in the field and integrate new insights into ongoing Foundation activities. Cultivate and/or strengthen relationships at established and emerging partner institutions including foundations, development aid agencies, donor collaboratives. Lead global grant making including sourcing ideas, idea due diligence, grant structuring, compliance review and communications planning. Lead regular portfolio analysis to report on results against short-term and long-term goals, evaluate risks and generate maximum impact. Engage with public, private, and philanthropic institutions to identify partnership opportunities and working with the TCCF President, lead the design and development of cross-sector partnerships. Guide the development of curated materials that help disseminate learnings from Foundation funded programs. Represent the Foundation at internal and external engagements to amplify the Foundation's vision and programs. Serve as Foundation liaison to key Coca-Cola system stakeholders (Company and bottlers) to enable thoughtful collaboration and effectively leverage system capabilities (including but not limited to technical expertise, community insights etc.) EXPERIENCE Minimum 10 years of experience leading strategy development and execution of complex projects within the social sector, philanthropy, private sector or professional services organization. Experience in, or familiarity with, innovative partnership models and giving tools. Experience working in sustainable development, preferably with specialized knowledge and expertise in the Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector. High emotional intelligence, a strong sense of collaboration, and an ability to navigate complexity with strategic and analytic savvy. Highly organized with the ability to wear multiple hats in a dynamic, fast-moving environment; a solution-oriented team player who manages toward clarity. Seamlessly navigate between the big picture and the details. Experience in managing knowledge and/or learning and evaluation systems focused on generating deep insights and intelligence Strong presence and influencing skills with the ability to lead without formal power in a networked organization. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP The positions will report to Saadia Madsbjerg, Vice President of Global Community Affairs at the The Coca-Cola Company and President of The Coca-Cola Foundation. LOCATION As a global team, we aim to provide location flexibility to our associates, when possible. However, there may be some situations where relocation will be required. The location of the positions and whether or not relocation benefits are provided will be discussed at the time of offer.
