OVERVIEW:
The University of St. Thomas invites applications for a social science adjunct faculty position in the interdisciplinary department of Earth, Environment and Society. We seek a faculty member who can teach an Environmental Justice course and (potentially) up to two introductory Environmental Studies courses during the Spring 2023 semester (starting January 30, 2023). We seek colleagues with a record of success in teaching Environmental Studies courses, expertise in culturally responsive pedagogy, a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and who recognizes their own cultural experiences, identities, manifestation of privilege, and the dynamics these evoke in and outside of the classroom. QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree in a social science or environmental justice-related field with a doctorate preferred.Candidates with at least one year of college teaching experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
