FLETCHER TECHNICAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Registered Nursing Coordinator - Alexandria
This nine-month instructor position will be located in Alexandria, LA at the Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) campus.
It is the responsibilities of the Registered Nursing Coordinator to:
Maintain program statistics required by the Louisiana State board of Nursing (LSBN) and Accreditation Commission on Education in Nursing (ACEN).
Provide required Annual Report to LSBN every year prior to the November 1st deadline.
Annually meet with Dean of Nursing and Allied Health to update Associate of Science Nursing (ASN) Program student handbooks, Master Syllabi, Abbreviated Course Syllabi, Admission guide and orientation packet.
Coordinate with Department head to schedule faculty for ASN courses prior to each semester.
Coordinate and schedule all clinical facilities for ASN clinical courses prior to the beginning of each semester.
Track ASN HESI/Evolve student payments and adjust cohort numbers after each semester.
Maintain communications with the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health, faculty, students, and clinical sites.
Assist the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health creates a learning environment in which all students are treated equitably and with respect.
Attend regular meetings for the nursing faculty.
Monitor the attendance records of students from faculty for all courses.
Collaborate with department head to assure ASN is consistent with other nursing programs to assure ease in transition from Practical nursing program to ASN.
Participate in student orientation sessions.
Monitor the clinical requirement of each student prior to the student going into a clinical setting and report any delinquencies to appropriate instructor and Dean of Nursing and Allied Health.
Monitor student's academic records and report to Dean of Nursing and Allied Health any delinquencies.
Develop and monitor systematic plan of evaluation in collaboration with Department Head, Dean of nursing and Allied Health and faculty.
Must have flexibility to schedule to advise students in program area.
Qualifications: A Master's degree in Nursing or higher academic or professional degree in nursing. A current/practice licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Louisiana and a minimum of 2 years' experience in the practice of nursing as an RN.
