Overview:
As an Ecological Assistant Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll be a part of project teams navigating today's complex environmental regulatory landscape. Working with clients, contractors, and government officials, you will be involved in the entire project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction. You will lead wetland and stream delineation and ecological monitoring field activities; compile, analyze, and review data; prepare reports; assist with preparing permit applications; and interact with clients and regulatory agencies. Projects will/may include the following areas of emphasis: wetland and stream assessments, delineations, and mitigation; natural stream channel and wetland restoration design, construction observation and monitoring; stormwater monitoring; and endangered species surveys.

Qualifications:
B.A. or B.S. in a natural sciences field (e.g., Biology, Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Geography) or related technical field;4+ years of experience in ecological field work with some experience in preparing work scopes or managing small tasks;Demonstrated experience performing and leading wetland and waters field delineations and monitoring (experience in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, &/or West Virginia preferred);Demonstrated understanding of State and Federal permitting and regulations from agencies such as EPA, US Army Corps of Engineers, FEMA, USFWS, SHPO, DNR/DEQ, etc.;Preparation of technical reports;Ability to manage multiple activities and work on a team of technical professionals.
