Overview:
The QAC Laboratory Senior Microbiologist is responsible for monitoring environmental systems and products to provide support for production, facility, engineering, and quality departments.

Responsibilities:
• Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control testing of product, facilities, and critical systems• Independently perform advanced method development and R&D projects• Maintain laboratory equipment, facility systems, etc.• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment• Generate reports• Perform accurate and compliant data and record management• Develop and maintain laboratory procedures• Drive and direct continued improvement of laboratory operations, assays, and procedures.• Mentor and train other Microbiologists and coworkers according to procedures and regulations• Work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization• Strictly adhere to safety requirements• Maintain regular and punctual attendance• Maintain company quality and quantity standards• Maintain good documentation and laboratory practices• Must have effective oral and written communication skills• Must have excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail• Must be a self-starting, results-oriented individual with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as productively as an individual• Must be able to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations• Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications:
• BA/BS or MA/MS Degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related field or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background.• Advanced working knowledge and understanding of regulations (e.g. ISO 14644, ISO 13485, ISO 11737, AAMI ST72, etc.).• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word and Outlook).• 10 years hands-on laboratory experience preferred.• Must be able to perform reasonable job functions requiring periods of standing, walking, climbing, balancing, lifting up to 50lbs, as well asthose requiring manual dexterity, effective listening and communication.• Personal protective equipment including safety glasses, lab coat and gloves required in most areas associated with this position
