Job Description
Position Overview & Responsibilities

The Department of Biology within the School of Science & Engineering at Merrimack College is seeking applicants for the position of Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Biology for the Fall 2022 semester. Instructors are needed for these lecture and lab-based undergraduate courses:
  • Intro to Biological Sciences lecture
  • Intro to Biological Sciences lab
  • Molecular Biology & Biotechnology lecture (upper-level undergrad/grad course)
  • Molecular Biology & Biotechnology lab (upper-level undergrad/grad course)
  • Human Biology (lecture course only - no lab component)
  • Cellular Biochemistry lab (upper-level undergrad/grad course)

The fall semester begins on Monday, August 29th. Lecture section capacity varies depending on the course (between 24-42). Lab sections are capped at 14-16 students. The salary for this position is $4,730 per four-credit course. All classes will be taught in person in the classroom and/or lab.

Qualifications:

M.S., or Doctorate in Biology or related discipline, with college-level teaching experience. Strong preference for candidates who also have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
