A global manufacturer is currently seeking an EHS Manager to lead the EHS function at their manufacturing site in the Jackson, TN area. The EHS Manager will be responsible for updating and maintaining the site's EHS systems and programs. The successful candidate will be expected serve as a communication link between management and employees by keeping all personnel informed of EHS related matters.
The Role:
* Manage and maintain the company's environmental and safety permits and programs
* Serve as the subject matter expert and primary contact in respect to all EHS matters
* Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and EHS audits
* Interact with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance with local, state and federal regulations
* Manage storage, handling, labeling, manifesting, transporting, & shipping hazardous waste
The Candidate:
* B.S. degree in Safety Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or related technical field preferred
* 5+ years of EHS experience ideally within a lab or manufacturing environment
* Knowledgeable of applicable OSHA and EPA regulations
* Excellent leadership, organization and communication skills
