3D Genomics (3DG) is a contract research organization specializing in single cell and spatial transcriptomics, and other cell and molecular technologies.

We seek a highly motivated and intellectually curious PhD scientist to build a group conducting cutting edge genomics science for multiple client projects. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in a biomedical research field, with emphasis in genomics, transcriptomics or proteomics. Cell culture experience and histology/immunohistochemistry are desirable. The incumbent must be highly organized and detail oriented and be able to manage multiple time-critical projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

· Manage the design and execution of spatial and single cell transcriptomics studies.
· Represent the company in project update meetings with clients.
· Develop hands-on expertise in all technologies offered by the company, and train new team members in relevant experimental procedures. Maintain the highest quality in experimental execution.
· Build a technical team by recruiting junior scientists. and closely manage project execution. Present project updates internally, and engage with relevant team members to solve technical and project management challenges.
· Maintain detailed project and experiment records, and participate in producing validated SOPs.
· Contribute to data analysis when necessary.

Qualifications:

· A PhD in biology or relevant discipline with 0 to 3 years of post-doctoral experience for a Scientist role, and >3 years post doctorate experience for a Sr. Scientist.
· Proven expertise in directing a research project, from design to execution and reporting.
· Experience in molecular biology techniques, cell culture, and histological techniques such as FFPE/frozen sectioning, antibody staining and fluorescent microscopic imaging are strongly preferred.
· Experience with bioinformatic analysis of single cell and/or spatial RNAseq is highly desirable.
· Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a commitment to personal excellence in planning, experiment execution and analytical thinking.
· Must be highly self-motivated and directed to achieving project and company goals.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining priorities and high-quality performance.
