Overview:

* Serves in a domestic compliance assurance role and provides expertise relating to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA), and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements
* Serves as a subject matter expert in these areas and represents BBW Regulatory Compliance by developing and reviewing compliance programs, preparing training materials, conducting audits, conducting ad hoc refresher training, monitoring regulatory developments, and updating stakeholders
* Partners closely with internal teams supporting DCs, stores, and represents L Brands with external governmental agencies and recycling/disposal vendors
* Actively promotes associate engagement in EH&S programs

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for design, development, and deployment of specific EH&S programs, and audit to assure compliance with federal, state and local laws
* Analyze and review safety performance metrics for trends and work with team to implement changes to positively impact safety performance metrics; support associate communication and involvement in celebrating safety milestones
* Manage incident investigations, hazard corrections and all safety metrics and reporting documentation; provide recommendations on process improvement, hindsight and partner with DC Leaders to implement solutions
* Serves as functional contact and subject matter expert on all SAP issues that relate to EH&S activities; directs training efforts and supports teams utilizing IHS functionality for safety requirements and other functionality that supports hazmat and environmental requirement
* Assures compliance with international dangerous goods and domestic hazardous materials transportation, environmental, and storage regulations; provides product classifications on an ad hoc basis; troubleshoots data discrepancies in SAP
* Identifies new or changing regulations at the federal, state, and local regulatory level and key changes in consensus standards (EPA, OSHA, NFPA, etc.); interprets legislative change impact on the locations; and advises the appropriate departments and management teams on actions needed
* Prepare state, federal, and international environmental reporting, including maintaining and uploading OSHA 300 Logs
* Utilize publicly available information to research the marketplace to understand what best practices exist; participate with local ASSP Chapter to develop local network; conduct benchmarking exercises to understand what competitors and industry leaders are doing with respect to EH&S
* Solves ad hoc service issues between BBW and recycling/disposal vendors
* Aids and leads environmental projects that support the environmental stewardship efforts

Qualifications:

* 5-7 years of experience in the application of US federal, state, and local EHS regulations is required
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organization skills
* Significant experience with all Microsoft Office applications, especially spreadsheet use and data management
* Confidence and ability to represent the company to regulatory agencies under the direction of Director, Regulatory Assurance - EH&S
* Ability to read, interpret, and concisely communicate federal, state, and local EH&S regulations
* Demonstrates problem-solving ability and learning agility
* Ability to anticipate change, draw conclusions, and swiftly mobilize to adapt to changing business needs and demands
* Builds collaborative relationships based on trust and respect
* Ability to work with a geographically dispersed team in diverse work environments
* Self-motivation, ingenuity and ability to drive best practice thinking
* Experience in retail operations or logistics is preferred

Education:

* Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Safety, or related field
* EH&S Certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, DGSP, etc.) preferred

Other:
This position requires external travel 5% of time. Must be able to travel between buildings on the main campus and to buildings at other central Ohio locations frequently
