Duties and Responsibilities:

* Conduct/assist in wetland/stream delineations.
* Technical writing, including preparing wetland/stream delineation reports.
* Data entry, data interpretation, and statistical evaluations.
* Prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessment reports.
* Participate in field visits as required by project needs.
* Conduct erosion and sediment compliance inspections and coordinate with colleagues, contractors, and clients to correct issues on site.
* Prepare state and local permit applications (e.g., Corps of Engineers Nationwide Permits and Joint Permit applications).
* Coordinate with regulatory agencies (including USACOE, USFWS, TPWD, USFS, NRCS, others as appropriate) and clients throughout the permitting process.
* Research potential habitat for protected species (fauna and flora).
* Characterization of aquatic and terrestrial habitats.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Wildlife Management, Biology, Forestry or other related discipline.
* Expected to become familiar with a Trimble GPS Unit.
* Expected to develop proficiency with permitting through state and federal regulatory agencies and Endangered Species Act permitting.
* Meets educational credentials for certification by a professional society or a state regulatory board in the discipline of practice desired. These certifications or registrations may include but are not limited to Certified Wildlife Biologist, Professional Wetland Scientist, Registered Environmental Manager, or Certified Ecologist.
* Valid Driver's License.
