The Environmental-Laboratory Data Reporting Manager is responsible for the review and approval of final environmental analysis reports generated by R.I. Analytical, assigns reporting tasks within the department, provides LIMS support to laboratory staff, and performs other tasks related to report generation. Operational support includes but is not limited to scheduling of work tasks based on priority status, coordination and completion of State mandated reporting, as well as resolution of issues encountered within the LIMS. The Data Reporting Manager ensures reporting staff performs productively and efficiently within compliance of the quality system, standard operating procedures, health & safety regulations, and company policies.

Responsibilities

* Performs effective, thorough review of final laboratory reports.
* Assigns and completes state reporting functions in a timely manner.
* Generates Electronic Data Deliverables (EDDs) specific to client/project needs.
* Creates and formats new Certificates of Analysis types using Crystal Reports.
* Coordinates timely receipt of any subcontracted laboratory reports.
* Assists in generating and modifying test codes, testing packages, customers, and other functions within the LIMS to ensure data input and report generation are accurate and complete.
* Consults with laboratory to resolve analytical issues, and notifies QA/QC Officer of non-conforming work. Prepares case narratives for inclusion in reports when appropriate.
* As necessary, trains and supervises departmental staff to complete daily objectives.
* Participates in resolution of corrective actions in collaboration with the QA/QC Officer
* Other duties as required or assigned by senior management.

Qualifications

* Minimum of an Associates degree (A.S.) in environmental science, chemistry, microbiology, or related field
* Minimum 2 years of experience in the environmental analysis of samples
* Thorough knowledge of Excel, LIMS software, state-specific reporting methods, online client portal operations, and familiarity with Crystal Reports would be a plus.
* Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
* Ability to recognize areas of improvement and implement effective solutions.
* Handle changing priorities and manage staff with client satisfaction as the goal.
