Job Description

The Senior Project Manager manages all aspects of remediation projects at Clean Earth, ESOL owned facilities, including technical oversight, budget management, contractor management, and regulatory oversight. The Senior Project Manager also serves as the primary interface with regulatory agencies, and local stakeholders. The job requires strong understanding of RCRA, CERCLA, and state regulations regarding remediation of contaminated media, a good technical background in environmental sciences or engineering, and good communication skills. The job involves close coordination with Clean Earth, ESOL risk specialists, location manager, and other Clean Earth personnel. Minimal travel is required.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

* Provide overall technical direction and oversight to project personnel, including engineering contractors.
* Act as primary Clean Earth representative during all applicable interaction with regulatory agencies.
* Review and approve all contractor work products.
* Establish and track budgets, including budgets for analytical laboratory, drilling contractors, engineering contractors.
* Prepare and submit reports and correspondence to regulatory agency, including groundwater monitoring, progress reports, financial assurance documentation, and general correspondence.
* Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with emerging remediation technologies, current regulations, and investigation techniques.

Qualifications

Basic Required Qualifications

* B.S. or B.A. in environmental sciences, engineering, or earth sciences.
* 5+ years of responsible experience managing remediation projects under RCRA, CERCLA, and/or state cleanup regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

* M.S. in engineering or earth sciences.
* 10+ years of progressive experience managing remediation projects, strong financial management skills.
