Associate/Sr. Associate, QC Microbiology

Job DescriptionBioPhase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for Southern California's Scientific community. We are currently looking for a Associate/Sr. Associate, QC Microbiology to work for a Greater Los Angeles area biotechnology company. Responsibilities:

• Perform environmental monitoring of cleanrooms, facility, personnel, etc.
• Perform and review microbiological assays including Gram Stain, Endotoxin, Sterility, Microbial Identification, Growth Promotion, Bioburden and Plate Reading
• Perform and review visual inspection of final product
• Perform accurate data entry and trend data as needed; prepare presentations for management
• Assist in investigations regarding out of specifications (OOS) results, address and manage deviations related to micro procedures and processes
• Routine maintenance of lab equipment and lab spaces
• Review and approve all final product release test results
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 0+ years of experience in microbiology lab/environment monitoring
  • Recent grads highly encouraged to apply!
• AA Degree with 1+ years of experience or HS Degree and 2+ years of experience in microbiology lab/environmental monitoring also accepted
• Senior level will require 3+ years of experience in microbiology lab/environment monitoring
• Experience in the application of microbiological techniques such as environmental air monitoring, water testing, surface monitoring
• Experience in aseptic techniques and clean room operations
• Ability to gown for entry into Aseptic core and supporting areas
• Ability to pass vision exam for visual inspection
• Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
• Ability to be flexible with schedule, and work overtime as needed
• Working knowledge of SOP writing and SOP change request is a plus
