Position Overview:
Position Overview: The Novelis Global Sustainability team is seeking a Global Carbon Accounting Manager. The person in this role will report to the Sustainability Program Director. We are looking for a carbon accounting professional to support the deployment of a new carbon model for carbon footprint at the product level; play a key role monitoring the evolution of the product carbon footprint methodology and to develop a new process for data management for quantifying our supply chain carbon footprint verified against GHG protocols while working on the continuous improvement of internal processes, ensuring alignment with GHG protocol and other carbon accounting standards.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Responsibilities: Build frameworks, processes and capacity building tools for managing supply chain GHG data collection and analysis Develop, test and maintain data collection processes for scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions Contribute to product strategy and act as an internal subject matter expert on GHG emissions measurement and management Develop industry benchmarks based on primary data collected Ensure alignment with the GHG protocol and other ISO standards Build internal capacity in carbon accounting and support deployment of new products Generate insight and thought leadership from supply chain GHG data Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Sustainable Development/Climate Science (Environmental Science), or Engineering Minimum of 5 years experience in carbon accounting and/or climate change mitigation Knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting principles and application in the private sector, including Scope 3 categories Experience with supply chain decarbonization strategies and/or supplier capacity building programs Knowledge of the GHG protocol, GRI reporting frameworks, science based target setting, LCA Experience with commonly used lifecycle assessment software (e.g. GaBi, SimaPro, etc.) Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-growing international environment Preferred Qualifications: Masters or higher degree in Sustainable Development/Climate Science (Environmental Science), or Engineering Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple stakeholders What We Offer: In addition to a competitive salary and yearly bonus structure (Annual Incentive Plan), this role offers a hybrid schedule.
