We are looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. In this entry level role, you will be required to train employees on safety policies and practices, conduct regular inspections, generate health and safety assessment reports, and ensure that all occupational guidelines and regulations are adhered to. This role is located onsite in East Windsor, New Jersey
Meeting with the management team to define EHS goals and objectivesTraining employees on health and safety policies and best practicesConducting inspections and identifying hazards and EHS violationsProviding solutions and intervention strategies for hygiene, health, and safety hazardsImplementing new health and safety protocols and measures to ensure compliance with regulationsMonitoring operational processes and employee activitiesGenerating assessment documentation, incident and accident reports, and health and safety manualsReporting to management, OSHA, and other regulatory agenciesPreparing and submitting health and safety compliance documents to the relevant organizationsKeeping up-to-date of the latest EHS trends, policies, regulations, and best practicesAddresses any workers compensation/workplace-related EHS issues and coordinates incident and corrective and preventative action investigation
Qualifications - Skills & Requirements:
Experience working in regulated environments like pharmaceutical manufacturingDetailed knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and ANSIThe ability to read and interpret safety data sheetsProficiency in computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to develop and lead training when neededExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesStrong organizational and time management skills To protect the safety of our workforce, customers, and communities, the policy of the Company requires all employees and workers in the U.S. to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they have received an exception based on an approved request for a medical or religious reasonable accommodation. Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, safety management, or similarOSHA or similar EHS certificationA minimum of three (3) years experience as an EHS coordinatorPreference will be given for those with experience in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or distribution environment
