Annual Salary Starting from: $135,000.00

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Assess the performance of line organizations to industry excellence, using the INPO PO&Cs and management expectations as guidance. Manage the technical expertise of a team of professionals conducting Assessment activities for functional areas (Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Plant Support). Development of assessment strategic plans, schedules, and conduct observations to determine gaps to excellence. Provide coaching and assistance to line functions as conditions warrant up to and including temporary transition back to line functions providing additional capacity to functional areas. Communicate assessment results to line management and both verbally and in report which compel department improvement

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Responsible and accountable for performing site performance assessments in their responsible area and communicating the results such that performance weaknesses are recognized and communicated prior to experiencing a significant decline. (50%)
  • Conducts, coordinates or participates in comprehensive assessments of site organizations to assure program adequacy and implementation effectiveness. Conducts assessment preparation including development of plans and writing final reports. Effectively communicates results to line organizations (20%)
  • Analyzes issues identified during assessments to determine program quality and determine program quality and identify performance trends. This analysis includes all available oversight results, both internal and external, and trending data. Results are communicated to senior management. (10%)
  • Provides written and verbal briefings to Exelon Nuclear senior management regarding the scope, status, and conclusions of assessments (10%)
  • Provides input into improvements for the assessment program. This input would include recommendation for the scoping, scheduling, and conduct of assessments (5%)
  • Perform special / temporary assignments and support other fleet organizations as assigned (5%)

JOB SCOPE

Plans and leads assessment activities in a specific area, function, or process. Reviews assessment results to evaluate adequacy of programs and implementation effectiveness. Determine if an assessment gaps to excellence based on the INPO PO&C should be issued. Evaluates and analyzes performance issues to provide input and assist in making determinations on performance ratings and trajectories. This position typically is a line rotational assignment and as such may be used for supervisory/managerial development

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS in Science or related field with 8 years of technical experience in nuclear plant operations or support
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with senior station management and clearly communicate issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in functional area of assessment responsibility.
  • Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license or certification (Operations area)
  • Supervisory or management experience
