Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a talented and experienced environmental Senior Project Manager to oversee Federal environmental remediation projects. The position is located in the Austin, Texas office. This environmental Senior Project manager will be leading teams of professionals in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, and Treatability Studies in support of Federal environmental projects.

Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below: Experience with CERCLA projects and federal facilities. Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow managementManages and directs professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental projects. Leads teams by utilizing advanced scientific principles, theories, and practices. Utilizes existing technologies and past experience to develop technical solutions to complex problemsInterprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure complianceAnalyzes financial statements and completes budget trackingPerforms work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to area manager. Oversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studiesPerforms complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project teamSupervises junior and mid-level staff during all phases of project workConducts reviews and provides staff feedback for continued improvementLeads preparation of complex proposals.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS in Geology, Engineering, or related field with + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Must be able to pass a background and MVR check.
  • Due to the nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Occasional overnight travel required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Professional License (PE, PG)10+ years' experience in environmental remediation (soil, water, sediment, PFAS, munitions) project management.
  • Master's degree in Geology, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or related degreeExperience with regulator and stakeholder negotiationsExperience successfully managing environmental projects for Federal clients (USACE, AFCEC, Navy)Thorough working knowledge of RCRA, CERCLA, and Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP).
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skills. Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery.
  • Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences. Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change ordersInterest in business development.
  • Have led teams of professionals in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, and Treatability Studies in support of Federal environmental projects
