REVOLUTION Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit high-value frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

As a key contributor to our Structural Biology team, you will:
  • Partner and integrate with multidisciplinary, highly collaborative discovery teams to design, optimize, and accelerate the development of novel drug candidates using advanced SB techniques.
  • Manage early career scientists in designing, executing, and interpreting experiments to drive progress in multiple programs.
  • Work closely with internal and external teams of protein scientists, biophysicists, and X-Ray crystallography scientists as part of an integrated structural biology effort. Experience with insect and/or mammalian cell expression/purification highly desirable.
  • Maximize the impact of structural information and associated data in drug discovery programs
  • Provide x-ray crystallographic and protein structure-function support, including structure-based drug design, to on-going drug discovery projects and new target discovery initiatives
  • Perform protein crystallography, including complex formation, crystallization, crystal quality optimization, and structure determination
  • Provide innovative ideas and models to challenge and shape project thinking; serve as a lead Structural Biologist on drug discovery projects

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
  • Ph.D. with 5+ years of relevant experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry
  • A track record of impact in drug design efforts as evidenced by publications and patents
  • Expertise in analysis and interpretation of protein ligand complexes
  • Expertise with standard software packages (Phenix, CCP4, Coot, Pymol, 3Decision, CryoSPARC)
  • A desire to participate in a highly creative and interdisciplinary environment
  • Experienced people leadership of early career scientist including evidence of successful coaching, mentorship and development of individuals in order to build long-term organizational capability
  • Deep understanding and extensive experience with X-ray crystallography is required. Experience with cryoEM is a plus as well as a familiarity with other structural methods such as HDX-MS and SAXS
  • Thrives in a collaborative team setting and is driven by a desire to be innovative in a high energy start-up environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to a wide variety of audiences

Revolution Medicines currently requires that all personnel and visitors to its offices be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
