Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Funder Collaborations will strengthen CWF's session design and facilitation for high-priority meetings and convenings to increase effectiveness of the engagement efforts for international climate funder collaborations. This role will report to the Director, Funder Collaborations and be based in the ClimateWorks San Francisco Office.

In partnership with the Funder Collaborations team, this role will contribute to elevating the design and facilitation of international multi-day convenings as well as ongoing collaboration activities and gatherings. By delivering training, developing and maintaining learning resources, providing on-going guidance, and sharing success stories, this role will advance the culture of collaboration internally and externally.

The Senior Manager will also plan and coordinate multi-stakeholder projects, meetings, and collaborative joint efforts. They will work with stakeholders to develop implementation plans and collaborate cross-organizationally to manage to success.

The right candidate for this new position will find joy in helping others succeed in having impactful conversations as well as empowering others with the powerful design and facilitation skills that ensure their desired collaboration outcomes. This position will prefer to work in partnership rather than isolation and carry a service-mindset that listens for underlying needs and builds tools and resources to meet them.

Essential Tasks
Coordination, design, and facilitation of convenings

* Serve as a designer for Funder Collaborations high priority meetings and sessions.
* Provide lead or support facilitation for internal or external meetings including the overall planning, materials creation, logistics management, pre- and post-session communications, and keeping to a sharp meeting agenda.
* Train and support a cadre of facilitators, increasing capacity internally and externally to design, implement, and facilitate impactful collaboration engagements.
* Deliver training and development opportunities on effective meeting design and facilitation, including helping stakeholders with common interests to move to action.
* Further develop and maintain training materials and resources on meeting design and facilitation.
* Provide on-going guidance for effective and impactful meeting design, facilitation, and collaboration to community leaders and funders.

Collaboration project management and implementation

* Coordinate key planning workstreams for convenings as part of a session-planning-and-design team for funder forums
* Work closely with department leadership and CWF strategy lead partners to support evolving short- or long-term projects, processes and programs coordinated across teams internally and/or externally. Cross-team projects may focus on climate mitigation strategies in certain sectors or regions, or around infrastructure or capacity building.
* Plan and execute on multi-stakeholder or cross-team projects and processes that enable effective coordination, including planning, developing shared goals, deliverables, roles, and timelines.

Collaboration/joint work learning and storytelling

* Contribute to continuous learning from ongoing collaboration assessment workstreams.
* Capture success stories about, articulate progress toward, and share learnings on collaboration and cross-team coordination successes.

Required Qualifications
Must have

* 6-9 years of relevant experience designing and facilitating multi-stakeholder collaborative meetings and sessions and teaching others to do the same
* Excellent collaborative project management skills, experience running cross-team coordinated work projects and processes, including developing and executing on shared goals, deliverables, and timelines
* Excellent communication skills, including with diverse stakeholders from other cultures
* Demonstrated facilitation skills across multiple size and purposes of meetings
* Comfort and confidence staffing VIPs and executives
* Able to work with diverse individuals to help them meet project goals, facilitating meetings and working across programmatic, collaborative, and logistical workstreams
* Solutions-oriented and flexible management style, able to navigate ambiguity to bring projects to successful shared outcomes
* Experience building and maintaining flexible systems and plans for projects and/or clients
* Assiduous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and passion for creating seamless project plans
* Ability to handle sensitive matters with diplomacy and discretion
* Technically-savvy, experience adopting and utilizing technology platforms and a quick learner with new programs and platforms
* Ability to travel internationally, typically about 20 days a year
* Passion for social change, environmental, social justice or climate communities
* Ability to work effectively and efficiently (both virtually and in-person) with minimal supervision

Nice to have

* BA or BS degree
* Demonstrated training skills for adult-learning
* Comfortable working with technology platforms and in a hybrid work environment
* Experience in nonprofit organizing or advocacy work, fundraising or stewardship, coalition projects or philanthropy preferred
* A sense of humor and levity amidst pressing deadlines and high-impact outcomes

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

* Regularly stand, sit, and walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear
* Generally works in an office environment, and will be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting during partner events

ClimateWorks offers an excellent benefits package and a competitive salary that is commensurate with experience (geographic differential applied based on location).

Location
ClimateWorks Foundation is based in the San Francisco Financial District. This position is classified as SF-based and is currently operating with a hybrid-flexible schedule with 1-2 days/week in the SF office.
