Solar Vegetation Project Manager

Overview

RES is currently accepting applications for a Solar Vegetation Project Manager for our NE region based in Columbus, OH.

The mission: to deliver large and complex utility scale revegetation projects for our solar clients, on time, within the scope, and within budget.

We are looking for an excellent ORGANIZER, capable of coordinating a complex network of internal and external resources for the successful execution of all project phases; a COACH, capable of training staff on project delivery functions and leading a team of Construction Managers; and a natural COMMUNICATOR, ready to represent RES to Developers, EPCs, Stakeholders and Regulators, and capable of maintaining efficient communication with stakeholders at RES (including sales, regulatory, finance, and construction teams).

What your day-to-day might look like?

The Solar Vegetation Project Manager develops and manages the full range of project tasks from inception to completion, including marketing RES capabilities to existing and prospective clients and negotiating contracts. Demonstrated existing relationships with EPCs, solar developers, consulting and engineering firms, non-profits, government agencies, and academia is a plus that will help you to further RES reputation and business.

You will be evaluating projects based on an understanding of regulatory and/or technical requirements, financial metrics, and constraints, so experience with forecasting and delivery of financial reports of budgets, and knowledge of POC are expected. Although supported by our regulatory and operations team, we expect you to have a fair amount of expertise in key areas relevant to solar project development.

Qualifications

We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in applied sciences, engineering, or similar field
• 5+ years of progressive experience in applied sciences, engineering, or construction field; 2+ years of Project Management Experience within the 5+ years.
• Experience in Solar Project Management
• Experience using project management and scheduling software, AutoCAD and GIS.

What will make you stand out?

• Advanced Degree or additional qualifications in the art and science of Project Management, such as Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Experience with MS Projects.
• Degree in botany, agriculture sciences, or similar experience or training with large scale vegetation/planting projects.
