San Francisco based biotech start up are developing sequencing technology of human genomics, utilized for precision medicine and drug discovery in the oncological space. Employing unified solutions of targeting, phasing, assembly and pipeline analysis to advance their sequencing technology.
The role:
You will be an experienced computational biologist who can assist in building a next generation sequencing platform. You will work directly with the engineers and scientists in the wet lab to design and implement new algorithms for assembling and analyzing genomes to answer questions critical to human health. You will be leading the computational biology team and contributing to it's growth and advancement from day 1.
Requirements:
* PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or similar field
* 4+ years experience in industry
* Experience in de novo genome assembly and phased sequencing
* Proficient in Python coding
* Leadership experience with solution focused approach
* Desire to work for an innovative start-up
This position is on-site based in San Francisco, CA or can be worked remotely.
