Build your career with the employee focused team at MAHLE as a Health, Safety and Environmental Representative. Be responsible for supporting all health, safety, and environmental initiatives in the plant, especially wastewater. Support a safe working environment for employees while maintaining compliance with safety-related legal requirements and the international organization for standardization (ISO) guidelines

This position is located in McConnelsville, OH -- relocation package provided.

SOME ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with the development, implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with company, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), federal, state, and local guidelines
  • Facilitate and maintain ISO 14001 and 45001 programs
  • Wastewater monitoring, sampling and state reporting
  • Research, develop, and implement the most effective HSE action plans to reduce hazards and improve overall metrics
  • Conduct internal HSE audits and inspections in accordance with company, ISO, and regulatory guidelines
  • Review new machinery, equipment, and plant layout changes to ensure a proactive HSE approach and compliance with all regulations

REQUIREMENTS
  • 3+ years experience in the development, implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs, policies, and procedures
    • HSE audits, recordkeeping, inspections, OSHA and governmental, EPA reporting, Air Emissions Regulations: permitting, reporting including Tier II, Form R, RCRA Hazardous Waste-Large Quantity Generator
  • Experience facilitating and maintaining ISO 14001 and 45001 programs
  • Experience with high-risk operations, wastewater, and workers compensation
  • Class A License in Wastewater, required
  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Health/Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field, or equivalent related experience
  • Permanent US work authorization
