Research Associate - Platform Biology (chondrogenesis)

Job DescriptionBioPhase specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for the San Franciscos/Bay Area Scientific community. We are currently looking for a Research Associate - Platform Biology (chondrogenesis) to work for a leading SF/Bay Area company.
Minimum Requirements:• BS + >2 years or MS + >1 research experience. • Molecular cloning: ligation and Gibson assembly approaches • Cell culture: stem cells, primary cells, and immortalized cells • Cell manipulation: chemical transfection, viral transduction, and CRISPR • RNA and Protein Assays: DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, RT-qPCR, Western blot, ELISA • Previous experience with writing SOPs and in filling out ELNs • Accomplish goals under project team timelines
Preferred Qualification:• Cell differentiation • Baculovirus production • FACS analysis • Strong assay development knowledge • Strong troubleshooting skills • Previous experience working in industry, preferably at either a gene therapy company or a startup
Job Duties:• Contribute to the design and implementation of assays and experiments for assessing cellular reprogramming. • Experience with molecular biology, cell culture, and assay development. • Ideal candidate will also have competent written and spoken communication skills. • Troubleshooting and data interpretation skills. • Work in a fast-paced startup environment and complete project goals in a timely manner.
