Job Description
The Company

Interline Therapeutics leverages capabilities in genomics, proteomics, structural biology, and computational chemistry to elucidate protein communities and develop new medicines that target key drivers of inflammation and cancer.

Interline is creating a culture centered around our dual commitments to patients and employees. We believe that if we prioritize science and innovation, empower one another, and have fun, we will significantly improve the lives of patients. We are growing a diverse and inclusive team with individuals that are action-oriented and united by common values.

The Role

We are seeking a Computational Biologist to play a pivotal role in oncology programs at Interline. This role requires the skill to help design and implement strategies for selecting and developing target classes and individual targets, as well as being responsible for computational analysis that deeply integrate with the company's proteomics platform.

This role will require extensive knowledge and experience with cancer genomics and the ability to integrate genomic data with other data types such as gene/protein expression and functional genomics. The aim will be to generate comprehensive systems-level insights in to cancer biology that fuels drug discovery efforts. The successful candidate will be experienced with relevant data sets in the field, will be able to execute their own analyses at genome-level scales, and able to clearly to communicate their results to non-computational colleagues of varying backgrounds. The successful candidate will also contribute to the design and implementation of software pipelines and databases designed to automate and accelerate oncology drug discovery efforts at Interline.

This position is based in our South San Francisco offices, with the possibility to work remotely. Salary and benefits are highly competitive with excellent career development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. with work focused on Cancer Genetics or a computational discipline primarily working in oncology; proven track-record of scientific achievement as evidenced by publication and/or patent record.
  • Extensive knowledge of cancer biology and genetics.
  • Working knowledge of computational data analysis relevant to cancer genetics in such applications as mutation analysis, DNA and/or RNA sequencing, functional genomics screening, and drug sensitivity.
  • Working proficiency in UNIX/Linux and R or Python
  • Strong communication and data visualization skills.
  • A desire and flexibility to work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment.
