The Glickfeld Lab is looking for a full-time research technician for a position starting Spring/Summer 2022.

The lab uses physiological and psychophysical approaches to understand how visual inputs are transformed into neuronal signals in the cortex, and how this information is used to guide behaviors. Your main responsibilities will include animal husbandry, behavioral testing/training, and data analysis; there will also be the opportunity to take on an independent research project.

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate looking to take a year or two off before applying to medical or graduate school. The ideal candidate will have some previous research experience working with animals, a deep interest in neuroscience, and can code in Matlab and/or Python.

In addition to applying to this position online, interested candidates should send a cover letter outlining the intersection between your interests and the research in our lab, a CV (with GPA), and three references to Dr. Glickfield: glickfeld@neuro.duke.edu
