ERM is seeking a motivated Environmental Project Manager, who is interested in participating on a variety of projects covering the full spectrum of ERM's services, to join our consulting firm. This position will support (remote, hybrid or in-office) but would prefer if individual could sit within a commutable distance to any of ERM's Southern California office locations to support local onsite work.

In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers on EHS compliance, sustainability/ESG, Liability Portfolio Management and Remediation (LPMR), and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due diligence transaction projects. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with an expert consulting team on challenging environmental projects for large industrial and global clients. Access to ERM's global LPMR, M&A transaction advisory, and ESG experts provide knowledge sharing of best practices across the industry and ongoing learning opportunities for our team. In this role, you will join a collaborative group performing high-level consulting for clients in all sectors including local and global projects.

  • Provide technical assistance and manage EHS compliance and ESG/sustainability, due diligence transaction and LPMR projects. Perform EHS compliance assessments, site investigations, and remedial actions at client facilities, and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage Phase I environmental site assessments to support property transfer transactions.
  • Perform multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to effectively manage projects.

  • BS in environmental science, geology, engineering, or related discipline. Masters a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in environmental consulting, working on environmental due diligence and/or site remediation projects.
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
