SUMMARY

The Precision Medicine & Computation Biology (PMCB) research function at Sanofi is looking for a highly motivated computational biologist scientist to join recently formed genetics & genomics lab in PMCB Computational Biology Cluster. The post-holder will closely collaborate within a multi-disciplinary group of talented scientists and will be responsible to perform multiomics analysis and systems biology modeling for the discovery of novel therapeutic targets, pathways, and validation of mechanisms of action for Immunology, Oncology, and Rare and Neurological Diseases. He/She will lead the development and implementation of state-of-the-art computational methods for extracting knowledge from large scale transcriptomics databases. The candidate will work in an exciting, interdisciplinary environment, overlapping the different stages of the discovery pipeline, by interacting with multiple internal and external organizations. A close interaction and synergy with all PMCB in-silico and experimental clusters and therapeutic area functions will be expected.

The candidate will:

Perform integrative analyses of transcriptomic data to identify and validate novel therapeutic targets and pathways, prioritize indications, and decipher drug mechanisms of action and drug response/non-response mechanisms

Developing analytical pipelines along with data integration methodologies to enable mining of large complex datasets including multi-omics and clinical data.

Evaluate and develop new multi-omics and systems biology methods aligned with the group strategy and therapeutic projects needs

Collaborate with data engineering and data science teams within the computational biology cluster to develop informatics solutions with proper data governance and management guidelines to create harmonized datasets to enable rapid automation of analytical capabilities

As part of PMCB, form strong scientific partnerships, contribute and lead cross-functional programs in collaboration with the other PMCB clusters through integrating transcriptomic analysis with functional genomics assays, high throughput proteomics, single cell applications to drive added value for drug development programs

Partner with our therapeutic area teams to setup and lead innovative programs for therapeutic target identification and indication prioritization

Prepare publications, research and clinical/regulatory documentation in accordance with Sanofi quality standards. Author technical reports, study protocols and manuscripts for publication; present at internal and external meetings and conferences.
