Job Summary:
The Environmental Health & Safety Manager is responsible for maintaining the health and safety of all creative werks employees by developing industrial safety solutions that demonstrate real value to the organization by ensuring risk is identified and mitigated. This position will work to create a culture of safety and ensure that both leaders and employees are properly trained and equipped to manage environmental health and safety.

Responsibilities of the Position:
Promote a consistent environmental health & safety message across all CW facilities to achieve companywide safety goals and effective employee engagement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Achieve Safety KPIs including TRIR goals, reduction in worker compensation claims, improvements in ergonomics, etc.
Act as a resource, advisor and counsel to site leadership team on safety and security matters
Lead risk assessment and conduct internal audits for anticipating, identifying, evaluating and eliminating hazards. This will include internal audits such as safety observations and monthly meetings as well as the development of a floor monitoring or coaching system
Manage all site safety activities, trainings and programs
Oversee the Safety Policies and Procedures and amend the policy as necessary. Coordinate with Temporary Agency Onsite Management regarding any updates or changes involving our facilities
Ensure all accidents, near-miss incidents and security issues are communicated, reported, and measured to ensure full regulatory compliance. This also includes on-going trend analysis and comparison to industry standards.
Manage and oversee all safety observations and data, ensure all actionable items are noted and assignment is given to the appropriate department to complete the necessary item
Conduct frequent follow ups on all actionable items to ensure hazards are mitigated
Coordinate all appropriate safety related matters with Temporary Agency Onsite Management and Corporate Office
Develop a system for returning employees to work quickly and safely after an injury or illness
Manage the facility Emergency Response Plan and Crisis Management Plan in conjunction with other department leads
Partner with HR on all new hire safety orientation, temporary employees as well any vendor/visitor safety training.
Schedule and maintain fire system and inspections. Direct evacuation plans and drills for each facility.
Monitor compliance with Maintenance/Facilities/Production Teams on SDS sheets and chemical lists to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of current OSHA regulations and all federal, state and local workplace safety laws
OSHA 30 Hour Certification
Certified First Aid Responder (CPR and/or EMT preferred)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to develop and conduct training
Proficient in MS Office programs
Ability to perform internal and external audits
Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a technical or related business field required
5+ years of workplace safety experience required, preferably in manufacturing
