POSITION PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to assist with the sustainability teams efforts to around renewable fuel incentive programs, renewable energy technology implementation, lifecycle analysis, and environmental social and governance support. Our team's focus is to assess specific renewable technologies and maintain compliance in ghg incentive programs to lower our emissions and create value.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Technical Support
  • Provide technical support as directed to update or complete lifecycle analysis
  • Complete calculations to determine GHG emissions
  • Update internal resources and tracking sheets


Research Function
  • Research renewable energy technologies and solutions to assist with project assessment and completion
  • Aggregate findings into report and/or presentation form to be used to educate and make decisions on what steps should be taken for the technology
  • Collaborate with REG team members to gather information needed to asses projects


Analysis Function
  • Perform lifecycle analysis work
  • Determine obstacles and risks to implementing renewable energy technologies
  • Communicate with plant staff regarding implementation of technology at facility being assessed
  • Analyze data and visualize to explain
  • Read regulatory language, interpret, and determine impact on project
  • Recommend changes to improve efficiencies and implementation


Other frequent duties:
  • Interact with various internal departments including finance, logistics, quality, manufacturing, technical services and others to provide technical support and knowledge


Perform other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: Pursuing a bachelor's degree - Chemical/Biological Engineering or Environmental Science or related degree

**Senior or Junior status required

Skills Required:

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)

Strong Excel skills

Basic accounting skills

Special skills or knowledge preferred:

Ability to give detailed instructions

Project Management

Biodiesel/Renewable Diesel production or related processes

Lifecycle analysis background and/or coursework

Knowledge of renewable energy technology
