Job Details

Essential Duties:
  • Collaborate with the Research and Development team to contribute to ongoing research and product development
  • Collaborate with Quality and Assurance to complete critical assays and inventory of samples
  • Lead and develop new research as per Company strategies
  • Manage a high throughput next-generation sequencing pipeline
  • Organize and collaborate with researchers for large-scale, high throughput sample analysis with a variety of molecular techniques
  • Contribute to molecular process and technique development and/or optimization
  • Work with Clinical Operations to facilitate collection, inventory, and analysis of biomaterials from clinical trials
  • Prepare reports and careful documentation of findings to support research and influence commercial strategies
  • Manage, develop, recruit, and train direct reports

Experience/Education:
  • Education (BSc or more) and experience (> 3 years) in a related field
  • Industry experience in related field
  • Hands-on experience in microbiology and molecular biology techniques, including PCR, qPCR, qRT-PCR, DNA/RNA extractions, bacterial and human cell culture
  • Experience managing high throughput pipelines and large-scale sample libraries
  • Experience leading next-generation sequencing library preparation (16S rRNA, shotgun sequencing, etc)
  • Experience logging experiments in a lab notebook and working off of SOPs
