Goshen College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Marine Biology.
Primary teaching responsibilities will support our major in Environmental and Marine Science. Teaching load could include Marine Biology, Marine Ecology, Invertebrate Zoology, and/or Oceanography, in addition to courses in the candidate’s area of specialty and/or the Goshen College general education program. The majority of teaching takes place at the college’s J.N. Roth Marine Biology station (located in the Florida Keys) as part of the college’s Marine Biology Semester. During this residential semester at our station, students complete two field courses, an internship, and work on their senior thesis research. Serving as the Program Director of the J.N. Roth station, the successful candidate will recruit students and develop field-based research projects suitable for undergraduates. Salary for this position will range from $53,000-71,000 based on education level and experience. In addition to this salary, when teaching the fall marine biology semester in the Keys, housing near our station will be provided. The successful candidate can also choose to live in the Keys all year, for which the college would also provide a housing allowance.
