Sense is a fast-growing greentech scale-up based in Cambridge, MA. We build smart home monitoring systems to help people take command of their energy usage, saving money while combating climate change. Our mission is to reduce global carbon emissions by making homes smart and efficient, and were looking to make an impact at scale: Senses technology has the potential to remove one gigaton of carbon from the atmosphere every year.

To accomplish our mission, we are building an AI and automation platform for home energy infrastructure. Our product, built on our unique machine learning technology, gives people visibility into the energy usage of their homes and provides insights to simplify saving energy and money. We are a team of highly curious, collaborative engineers who enjoy working together to solve a wide range of interesting technical challenges across a deep stack that spans embedded, native mobile, web, and the cloud. What you are good at
  • Setting up and maintaining test automation frameworks, building test scenarios and acceptance tests
  • Developing CI/CD Pipelines for execution of test cases and release validation
  • Working with the development team to understand the application architecture in order to access risk and integration points and develop good test cases
  • Researching test tools, methodologies, trends and upgrading existing practices and processes
  • Support automation of multiple components in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional development and QA team

Requirements
  • Passion for Quality
  • 3+ years of experience developing robust Test Automation frameworks
  • Strong understanding of automation coverage (unit, functional, regression, smoke, nightly)
  • 3+ years of strong programming knowledge and experience in Object Oriented languages (Java or Python)
  • 3+ years of experience with API testing
  • 3+ years of experience with automation frameworks (Appium, Selenium, Cypress, etc)
  • 3+ years of experience with GIT
  • Experience with Atlassian Tools (Bitbucket, Jira, Zephyr, Bamboo)
  • Critical thinker, solutions-oriented with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructures
  • Experience working with Linux is a plus
  • Authorized to work in the US
