Duties/Responsibilities:

The Senior Environmental Health and Safety Professional will be responsible for…
  • Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units
  • Consults with line management, providing EHS guidance when appropriate
  • Mentors/coaches employees on safe work practices
  • Assists in development and implementation of EHS policies and procedures
  • Facilitates employee safety training and emergency preparedness
  • Supports management efforts to ensure compliance with all EHS program expectations and applicable federal and state laws
  • Conducts risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment/product introduction
  • Conducts routine safety inspections on the work environment
  • Recommends appropriate risk mitigation measures to management
  • Maintains accurate records and metrics to report to management
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Environmental Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification (e.g., ASP, CSP, CIH, etc.)
  • Lean/Six sigma experience
  • Experience in Manufacturing and/or R&D

  • Travel may be required (up to 10%)
