Job Description
EMSL Analytical, Inc., one the largest environmental testing firms in the United States, is currently seeking a Full Time Laboratory Analyst - Microbiology in Phoenix, AZ laboratory location. EMSL Analytical Inc. is a growing commercial environmental testing laboratory. This position offers the chance to work for a stable company that is team oriented and offers growth opportunities within the organization. Experienced Food Microbiology analysts are welcomed to apply. Offering competitive pay.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparing and identifying a variety of environmental samples for fungal structures using optical and phase contrast microscopy. (We do not test clinical samples).
Maintaining quality control records as needed and some clerical work may be involved for data entry.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Microbiology, Biology or other life science discipline
2+ years previous commercial experience is desired.
Must be willing to work with microscopes, analytical balances, biological safety cabinets, and learn good lab practices.
Must be able to distinguish colors in order to perform the analysis.
Good computer skills are important for data entry tasks.
Must have attention to detail and be willing to learn analytical skills.
Must be able to work independently and within a team.
Must be able to work under strict timelines in order to and meet our clients' deadlines.

Available Shifts:
Tuesday to Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Training Shift to start Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
